Hydraulic C-Arm Compatible Table
Radiolucent Top | Five-Section Tabletop | Manual Foot-Pump Hydraulic Lift
The Neway Hydraulic C-Arm Compatible Table (model) is a radiolucent operating table built for theatres that run fluoroscopy, orthopaedic, trauma and urological work on a single table. The radiolucent tabletop lets the C-arm pass under the patient without moving the patient off the table, which is the difference between a smooth image-guided procedure and a repositioned, re-sterilised one.
Height is driven by a manual foot pump, so the table is completely independent of mains power. In a theatre where a power cut mid-list is a real risk, that matters: the table keeps working through the outage. Base and column covers are 202/304 stainless steel for durability and wash-down hygiene, and the head and leg sections are interchangeable so the same table converts between supine, lateral, lithotomy and knee-chest positions.
Why a C-Arm Compatible Operating Table
A C-arm compatible table is not the same as a radiolucent table, and the distinction decides whether you can use imaging at all during a procedure. A C-Arm compatible table is engineered so the C-arm can travel under the tabletop in the position the surgeon needs, with the accessory rails and the column positioned out of the C-arm’s swing. A merely radiolucent top lets you take an X-ray but can still block the C-arm’s arc.
That distinction decides whether you can use imaging at all during a procedure. For a hospital running orthopaedic reduction, urological intervention, pain-management procedures or interventional work, a table that genuinely accepts the C-arm removes the second table, the extra sterile draping, and the transfer risk. It also removes the mid-procedure transfer: a patient with a femoral fracture does not need to be moved from a radiolucent table to an imaging table.
Radiolucent Top and Imaging Compatibility
The tabletop is radiolucent, so the X-ray beam passes through the table rather than being absorbed by a metal frame or a solid panel. Combined with a low-attenuation surface and a five-section split, the radiolucent top gives a clear image across the whole working length, not just over a small window.
For continuous fluoroscopy in orthopaedic and urological work, this is the practical difference between imaging the procedure and taking a snapshot. The kidney bridge and the head and leg sections stay radiolucent as well, so the surgeon can tilt the patient into a lateral or oblique position and still image.
Hydraulic Foot-Pump Height Control
The hydraulic lift is operated by a foot pump, giving the anaesthetist full control of table height while keeping both hands free for the patient. This is a deliberate choice over electric actuation for theatres with unreliable mains supply or frequent power interruptions: there is no battery, no motor and no control board to fail, and no charge cycle to manage between cases.
The floor lock secures the table in position during surgery, so the table does not drift when the surgical team leans on the accessory rails. In a hydraulic system there is no creep, which is a safety advantage in long cases where the table is loaded and unloaded repeatedly.

Hydraulic C-Arm Table vs Electric C-Arm Table
If your theatre has stable mains power and a high procedure count, an electric table such as the Neway Electric Operation Theatre Table gives faster, smoother positioning and frees the foot pedal for other uses. If power reliability is uncertain, or the table will also serve an emergency or minor-procedure room, the hydraulic is the more dependable choice, because it has no electrical dependency at all.
For a cardiology or interventional suite, the Neway Catheterization Table is built specifically for catheterization procedures with a larger imaging surface and a wider working field.
